We are delighted to share the results of our latest Care Quality Commission (CQC) assessment, which has rated Evelyn Grace Ltd as Good overall, with an Outstanding rating for Caring.

For everyone at Evelyn Grace, this is something we are incredibly proud of.

As a care at home service, our work is about much more than providing practical support. It is about getting to know the people we care for, understanding what matters to them and helping them continue to live with confidence, dignity and independence in their own homes.

That is why we are particularly pleased that the CQC recognised the compassion, kindness and personal approach shown by our whole team.

Outstanding for Caring

The CQC described a strong culture of compassion at Evelyn Grace, with thoughtful, personalised care that supports people's wellbeing and quality of life.

People receiving our care described feeling safe, respected and well cared for, while relatives spoke positively about the kindness, reliability and consistency of our team.

The report also recognised something that is extremely important to us: our carers know the people they support.

That means understanding individual routines and preferences, noticing when something changes, encouraging people to maintain their independence and providing emotional support during both difficult and happy moments.

Sometimes great care is found in the smallest things - taking time to listen, sharing a laugh or a song, encouraging someone to take a walk, remembering an important occasion or simply making sure somebody knows they are not alone.

A team achievement

This result belongs to the whole Evelyn Grace team.

The CQC highlighted our caring and stable staff team, the training and support they receive and the emphasis we place on staff wellbeing and development.

Our registered managers were also recognised for their visible, hands-on approach, working alongside the team and maintaining close relationships with the people we support and their families.

We are enormously proud of the compassion, professionalism and commitment our carers demonstrate every day.

A CQC inspection provides an important independent assessment of our service, but for us the most rewarding part of the report was seeing the experiences of the people we care for reflected within it.

The feedback described relationships built on warmth, trust and respect, with people feeling listened to and involved in decisions about their own care.

That is exactly the kind of service we want Evelyn Grace to be.

While we are delighted with the result, providing excellent care is something we work at every day.

We will continue listening to the people we support, their families and our staff, learning from their experiences and looking for ways to make our service even better.
